My Travel : Peru - Machu Picchu 2012

                                                                 My Travel Story on Peru:

I left Canada, a connection thru Houston, USA and arrived safely at Lima, Peru. Shared a cab with another traveller to my hotel in the city. Well deserved rest was needed.
Day 2. Today I booked a City Tour to explore the surrounding, brief stop at a Piazza, than a drive by a beach and off to a site of ancient pyramid site.
After the tour I went for a nice walk around the city, looked for a local supermarket where I enjoyed a simple cup of coffee at a cafe.
I booked a flight to Cusco for the next day for 5:30 am.
With a surprise transfer of planes at some small airport between Lima and Cusco
finally reached my destination.
I stayed at a very nice hotel not to far from the main shopping Square.
Unfortunately due to the high altitude, I was quite sick for about 18 hours
as my body did not adjust right away.
Once all better I took a private tour on the Inca Ruins, enjoyed some shopping
and he sites of this amazing place.

Day 5 , 11th April 2012. Machu Picchu Tour.
( to be continued )

Peru is a country in South America, situated on the western side of that continent, facing the South Pacific Ocean and straddling part of the Andes mountain range that runs the length of South America.

Built in the 15th century and later abandoned, it’s renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone walls that fuse huge blocks without the use of mortar, intriguing buildings that play on astronomical alignments and panoramic views. Its exact former use remains a mystery.

Machu Picchu is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru,
above the Urubamba River valley.
